Many businesses over the last year have struggled immensely due to the covid-19 pandemic, the arts sector is no different as this industry has struggled a great amount. Organisations like Museums Sheffield at the moment have to rely on generous online donations in order to keep their business afloat.
Nearly ⅓ of this charity’s money is generated through visitors to the museum’s cafes and shops and this form of income has not been possible over the last year. This has caused uncertainty for the charity and whether they can carry on with their free events, like the dementia cafe which helps to support the elderly, and the death cafe that provides bereavement counselling.
So, Mirror Events are hosting a virtual event that will help to raise money and spread awareness for Museums Sheffield. This event is part of our final year at Sheffield Hallam University.
You can support this event and our endeavour by donating to the Go Fund Me page, taking part in our upcoming raffle and ticket sales. Any contribution will significantly help Museums Sheffield to continue their amazing work with the local community and any additional profit will be donated directly to Museums Sheffield.
